S/4 HANA Transformation
Challenges
Business Process re-engineering, building a global template for S/4 and consolidation of system landscape.
Results
We worked with client and implementation partner to defined the detailed solution architect and landscape, consolidation of interfaces, business process and archiving of data.
Background
The company manufactures business and industrial imaging products, including copiers, laser printers, multi-functional peripherals (MFPs) and digital print systems for the production printing market. The company also makes optical devices, including lenses and LCD film; medical and graphic imaging products, such as X-ray image processing systems, colour proofing systems, and X-ray film; photometers, 3-D digitizers, and other sensing products; and textile printers.
Project Details
Based on our detailed study and recommendations, customer embarked for S/4 Transformation project, without following of typical path of SAP ECC to SAP on HANA and then to S/4 HANA. Due to complexity, nature of business and global presence, we kept the focus of S/4 Simple finance roll out by keep on utilizing SAP ECC as backend. This ensured business continuity. As part of project, along with implementation partner we upgraded the SAP PI/PO system and consolidated thousands of interfaces into few hundreds. This allowed to bring down total cost of ownership to significantly lower level.
The Diseno Consulting Difference
Working collaboratively with key stakeholders from the company, we began to design future-state scenarios hat would address the company’s needs to become more flexible, shorten its implementation time, and reduce costs. Our ideas spanned the macro—where how the global template for S4 should be build —to the micro—how those global templates will get implemented to different geographic locations. We were able to bring our experience across industries and clients, our expertise in SAP transformation, and our broad service portfolio including advisory service to bring the project to fruition.
